Hello my amazing blogger friends,
I just posted a new Poll question to the right:
"Is your costo worse after you eat?" If you get a second to vote, that would rock so we can see how many of us have this symptom and how many don't.
And you rock. Sick or well, you rock.
Don't forget that. And if you do forget that, listen to some kicking 80's music and shake it. It'll come back to you.
-) Thanks Everyone!

Depends on what I eat. If I eat things too spicy then yes it will flare up and cause me problems. So lets say I have alot of flare ups because i refuse to give up my spicy food although I have toned it down some.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Deputy,
ReplyDeleteThat's good info, thank for sharing that!
Hugs,
Lucy
I asked my Dr. about this same thing not to long ago and she beleives it is because the upper colon runs along the bottom of the ribs and since there is inflamation the food passing through rubs along the inflamed ribs causeing extra presure and in the end... extra pain! Finally I think my Dr. may have something about costo right...lol
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing that with us. I so appreciate it!
ReplyDeletePS- I have never thought of that. And yes, I have lots to learn. lol.
ReplyDeleteI just read Tyscrzymom's comment to my hubbie and we felt like "THAT'S IT!!" (from Charlie Brown's Christmas when Lucy is counseling him) Could this be true? I feel like eating does seem to make things worse but can't find connections. Like does popcorn really make it worse or is it because I am sitting for so long watching the movie? It sure would be incredible to get any answers!
ReplyDeleteJenni!
ReplyDeleteHi friend, lol. I love the Charlie Brown reference! I love those "that's it" moments!
Yes, I've noticed that certain foods make it worse too..took me FOREVER to nail it down to 6ish different foods...and I'm still trying to pick it apart and nail it down. Drives me bonkers. =) Gluten, dairy, white potato foods and tomatoes I know for sure...what about you? What foods make it worse?
If this theory is spot on... it makes a ton of sense. If I test neg. for food allergies, intolerance's, and celiac, I can see this explanation being a totally rational one the craziness that is "food and costo."
Thank you Tyscrzymom for sharing with us!! We so appreciate it!!
And I notice a difference after popcorn too!! And I LOVE popcorn! Don't you!? YUUUM!
Lucy,
ReplyDeleteYour blog is amazing! My friend found this for me when she was researching Costo. I have had this on and off for about 5 years now. It seems to flare very intensely in the winter. Just want to say that this is a great site to get info from. I have tried everything to heal from Costo, but the deep pain is just not going away. Your advice on here is great and I am going to try more relaxation techniques. Keep up the good work!
Poppet,
ReplyDeleteGirl, you rock for sharing that with me. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement, such a gift to me, so thank you!
I'm so sorry hear you have had this pain on and off for 5 years. wow. eek. Let me know how the relaxation stuff goes for you.
I'm always here to listen, chat, or just be crazy with. =)
Hugs,
Lucy
