Costochondritis- The Different Names

Before I was diagnosed...I spent the night in the ER due to an "attack" and a doctor told me I had "chest wall pain"...I had no clue that this was the same things as Costo. Your doctor may also refer to costochondritis by other names such as:

Chest Wall Pain
Costosternal Syndrome
Costosternal Chondrodynia.

Buuuuuut.....they are all the same painful condition.

Just a friendly reminder that when the pain of Costo is accompanied by swelling, it's referred to as Tietze syndrome, not our mean buddy, Costo.
